Sarah Jimenez was born February 3, 1928 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. She lived in Mexico City. She studied Art at the San Carlos Academy, in Mexico City.

She joined theTaller de Gráfica Popular in 1954. In 1961 she traveled to the USSR, accepting an Invitation from their Fine Arts association. She resigned from Taller de Gráfica Popular in 1967.

She is known for her mural at the Belizario Dominguez School .
